Hi Guys its Barry in DR. I wanted to continue on from my last post regarding the various forms of poison that you’re currently ingesting into your body on a daily basis. By simply eating the available foods at your local grocery stores and restaurants you’re heading down a slippery slope that’s sure to end with health issues in the medium to long term. Even those of you who are conscience and willfully trying your best to provide yourself and your families with wholesome natural diets are falling victim to corporate priorities… and corporate priorities are not in your health’s best interest. Seems it’s becoming near impossible to steer clear of these three dangerous reefs that surround all of us. What reefs you ask… your air your water your food and its shaping up to be a hell of a perfect storm.
I first want to mention yet again that the D.R. is certainly not the only country to consider when looking for safer and better alternatives… both in real foods and in real living. There are several other countries to consider but after my own personal experiences this one suited us best. I’m very pleased about the amount of positive comments we’ve received from our readers appreciating that we mention this fact on a regular basis and are not solely recommending the D.R. as the right fit for everyone. After all no country is and we promise to keep an open mind to that fact in future posts.
One thing I’ve learnt being in sales for several years is this. We all have what’s called a HOT BUTTON. For some of us it might be color others hi tech still some others it could be performance but rest assured we all have this HOT BUTTON within us. The best people in sales learn early how to push peoples HOT BUTTON fast. This is why you won’t find a good car sales person spending a lot of time chatting about upholstery once they figured out it’s economy that pushes your HOT BUTTON… those sales people are rightly named the closers in any type of sales and it’s never going to change.
Here are a few examples of everyday things we take for granted but our guests found to be an amazing change for them… their HOT BUTTON if you will. For some folks it was the fact that they didn’t hear a single plane during their entire visit. After inquiring why I found out that it’s either chem. trails they see weekly or a couple of visiting people mention the “D” word flying around their home or neighborhood… for us it’s been so many months we take it for granted as being normal.
Others had their HOT BUTTON triggered by the way people just seem to be so friendly in the region of Cabrera. Most seem to be happy to just say hi without even knowing you. Appears most of these people are coming from a larger city where as people coming from the country aren’t as amazed by it.
The various organic fruits literally falling off the trees almost everywhere you look triggers the diet and natural food folks instantly. Free ranging beef and pork and “Bing” on goes the button for those folks who enjoy good organic meat products. The seafood folks soon after eating a meal only to find out you can obtain the best fresh (caught that day) seafood for just under 3.00 a pound… lights on as they’ve just been hooked (pardon the pun).
I’m confident you see where I’m going with this but to date it seems to us the biggest HOT BUTTON of all is the following.
Folks who were initially worried about their safety while being in the D.R. in fact pretty much any other nation other than the U.S. had their button pushed in a big way. Within a couple of days of arriving to the D.R. we witness a complete 180 degree change. The people suddenly realize from within all the untrue crap they’ve been fed in the past… all the Bullshit they’ve come to believe as truth… the mirage of lies about western nations and their safety has been a near total and complete hoax carried on for decades. Might want to put your shades on for that one it’s bright. In any case on goes their HOT BUTTON.
I swear it’s almost like watching Jeopardy from years past when one contestant knew the question form of the answer provided on goes the light. We really do enjoy seeing this as it does refresh us and reconfirm that our way may be simple but it is two things for sure… healthy lifestyle and real verses illusion or reality. Now onto the topic of today’s post: Gods Pharmacy ? Naturally Growing Medicines in the DR.
Some of the variety of exotic fruits in the D.R. containing medicinal benefits are indeed a long list. I’ll list a few of the many here but be sure to click onto the links below for added information.
Guanábana: (Soursop) A delicious sweet white flesh fruit that is said to have as much as 10,000 times (no misprint) the healing power of cancer than chemotherapy without any of the negative side effects.
Insulina Plant: (insulin plant) Grows everywhere and when the leaves are boiled into a drinkable tea provides an excellent medicine for diabetes.
Chinola: (passion fruit) Commonly found and grown by almost everyone. Excellent tea assists in providing a healthy sleep for those who suffer from sleep disorders. Fresh passion fruit is high in beta carotene, potassium, and dietary fiber. Passion fruit juice is a good source of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and good for people who have high blood pressure. Some research is showing that purple passion fruit peel may help with controlling asthma symptoms.
Lechosa: (Papaya) Papaya fruit is a rich source of nutrients such as pro-vitamin A carotenoids, vitamin C, B vitamins, dietary minerals and dietary fiber. Papaya skin, pulp and seeds also contain a variety of phytochemicals, including polyphenols.
Mango: There are about 9 different variations of mango available in the D.R. In mango fruit pulp, the antioxidant vitamins A and C, Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), folate, other B vitamins and essential nutrients, such as potassium, copper and amino acids, are present. Mango peel and pulp contain other phytonutrients, such as the pigment antioxidants – carotenoids and polyphenols – and omega-3 and -6 polyunsaturated fatty acids.
Coco: (coconut) Of the many health benefits of coconuts and of coconut water not commonly known is it’s one of the best prevention sources for kidney stones and as an aid is dissolving and passing kidney stones. There are just too many other benefits to list so if interested just look them up. Some links were provided below.
Pan de Fruta: (Bread Fruit) The fruit is peeled first and then fried in slices or boiled like a potato. It’s like a normal potato but a bit sweeter. The fruit is rich in vitamins A, B and C. One of the varieties has a big brown seed inside and you can roast them like a sweet chestnut. I know of three different varieties but there may be more.
Aquacate: (Avocado) An excellent source for promoting men’s health and aiding the prostate gland. They also use it in hair lotions, shampoo and skin cream.
Piña: Pineapple full of antioxidants 100% sun ripened and sweet. Again too many to list.
Carambola: (Starfruit) Carambola is rich in antioxidants and vitamin C and low in sugar, sodium, and acid. It is also a potent source of both primary and secondary polyphenolic antioxidants.
I guess I’ll stop the list here but trust me there’s a lot untouched. Bananas, Plantano, Nine types of oranges ranging from sour as a key lime too sweet as sugar. Agria Oranges have 8 times the vitamin C as sweet oranges and makes wonderful key lime pies and lemon water.
Fruits from Limoncillo a sweet lime tasting fruit to cajuil (cashew) all grown in the D.R. All the grapes, cantaloupes, watermelons, strawberries, blueberries, all grown in various parts of the country.
With all the hype on what’s going on with the food makes us glad to be here. Is it perfect… no but again no place is but one thing is for sure we eat way better than you and at a fraction of the price you’re paying. I’ve had a few comments on our prices are more than fair… I always add in now price it as to what true organic would be… then the eyes roll back every time.
For any of you still having doubts why this is being done to the food you’re eating, the air you’re breathing and the water you’re drinking may I suggest you look up the term “soft kill” or “soft killing” to get a more focused grasp of the subject. It’s not a pretty ending.
It is difficult to get a person to understand something when their salary depends on them not understanding it.
From all of us in the DR Escapes family to all of you. It is our sincerest wish that you like your life, BUT IF YOU DON’T it is our sincerest wish you have the courage to change it. Until next time this is Barry in DR and I’m out.
