It’s a sad state of affairs when societies have been demoralized to the point that a citizen’s self-worth is determined by their amount of consumption. “I am what I do or I am what I own” tends to be the modern day belief of one’s value. In spite of what you think as long as we’re adhering to present day systems we’re all just slaves. Modern day slaves.
Every so often we’re greeted by folks who have this I guess the nicest way I could phrase it would be coherent prerogative attitude. They act as if they’re of special conception and the world revolves around their being content. These folks possess some sort of ambiance that surrounds them into falsely believing they have superiority over everyone in fact over everything.
A secondary feature of this mindset seems to be that no matter what world events are developing it somehow won’t have any effect on them. Even though they’re incorrect in both assumptions a third segment still remains hidden from their view. They as the rest of us amount to little more than modern day slaves.
This “I am” attitude holds especially true when comparing themselves to the vast majorities who just happen to emanate from other nations. Smart gifted blessed are commonly used adjectives when listening to such personalities dialogue about themselves in the” I am” mode of conversation. Yet it’s been our experience that during varying intervals their conversations always veers in similar directional pathways attempting to justify their mistaken dogmas. Nationality financial status religious beliefs or mis-beliefs even color are but a few that have been mentioned to us in past conversations. If they only understood what divide and conquer really meant.
Another amusing occurrence on these pathways of conversation is what often follows. They all convey and eventually dovetail ending up at the source. The source of origination they all lead back to the person who’s doing the talking. You know the self-acclaimed entitled few. The” I am what I do and I am what I own” folks. In-spite of them not understanding that whatever you sell yourself for it never represents the total cost still these personalities can’t grasp they amount to little more than modern day slaves.
I thought it might make for an interesting post to uncover a bit of what seems to be all but forgotten history. Recent history I might add as it’s little more than one hundred and fifty years that I’m venturing back. Towards the end of this post see if it makes sense to the point it may even humble a few into better understanding reality from the fantasy… the freedom fantasy that most of us are currently living in.
I’m asking you to go back to the time that the primary settlers took off searching for a better life. Some of you can actually trace back your family roots to these generations. Can you imagine what was going through their minds at the time.
The uncertainty of boarding a wooden ship setting sail on a voyage that was sure to take several weeks perhaps more than a month. Men women and children condensed beyond what would be considered hygienic or safe for that matter packed in confined quarters and with minimal supplies. Headed for a destination that if they were lucky enough to make it nobody knew if they would be welcomed or met with the sword.
What could drive people to take such measures? Sacrificing safety comfort even the safety of their families all for an unknown foreign destination not aware what’s waiting for them on the other side. If you’re lucky enough to have a few aging stories passed down from several prior generations you’ll find the word FREEDOM won’t be far from being mentioned in the earliest stages.
They we’re willing to sacrifice everything for a chance at real freedom. The freedom that was diminishing where they currently existed along with the chance at a better life for themselves and their future generations. That was the driving force that allowed the pioneers to accept such poor odds it was the chance of obtaining freedom.
Think about that the next time someone calls you unpatriotic for mentioning anything about a plan “B” that might involve expatriation. Ask yourself who’s really being unpatriotic? The one who turtles complains and complies with the loss of their freedoms or the one who refuses to take it and is willing to risk uncertainty for a better future?
Amplify this by the fact that the overwhelming population that currently makes up the nation of America came from other countries and soon you’ll begin to realize that you’re dealing with nothing more than a hypocrite. In prior posts I wrote about denial being a powerful force and this is an excellent example of it.
You’re dealing with a slave who doesn’t even recognize they are a slave. MOVE ON! It’s one argument you won’t win and if you happen to be foolish enough to pick this argument in public others won’t be able to tell who’s the fool because to them from a distance you’ll both look like twins.
These personalities happen to be the exact same people who complain about how you can’t seem to do anything today without someone looking over your shoulder. They’re the first ones sending out the email’s warning each other. Statements that all too often contain the phrases it’s wrong, it will never happen here, what ever happened to??? and the grand prize winner for generalization it’s not fair are easily found among these emails. You’ll find other erroneous phrases but that’s where it tends to stops. They won’t do much beyond that because they still feel that they’re the entitled ones the free nobles and it can never happen them.
Nobodies entitled to anything just review your history and another thing worth mention is nobody can take something from you without your willing consent and that includes being a victim of violence. Learn how to protect yourself and your freedom in that way at the very least you’ve increased your odds tenfold.
Many seem to feel the times are changing and I’ll have to agree they are. In spite of that fact the world still remains full of opportunities. As such some nations will be decelerating while others are pouring on the throttle. It’s how markets work and it’s how the world works. Change is the only guarantee we have next to death and taxes and the ladder falls into that aforementioned willing consent.
Back then the brave few believed in something that modern times has reduced to little more than a noun. FREEDOM they believed in freedom the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. Today with the majority of us misunderstanding what was once clearly understood is exactly the reason why we currently find ourselves we we are. Little more than modern day slaves. Until next time this is Barry in DR.
