Grabbing A Cold Beer At Puerto Blanco Marina In Luperon Dominican Republic

Puerto Blanco Marina In Luperon DRContinuing on our road trip through the North West region of the Dominican Republic, Johnny and I stopped by the Puerto Blanco Marina to grab a quick cold beer.  The Luperon bay is a unique stopping over place to moor your boat and rub elbows with other Caribbean sailors and cruisers.  Due to the double bay, there are no shortage of safe spots to moor a boat and weather a storm.  It worked for Columbus and continues to provide safe harbor for modern day sailors.

The patrons and staff that we met at Puerto Blanco were all friendly and eager to chat.  We enjoyed our short little visit and look forward to seeing some of the other points of interest in Luperon.  Luperón has a typical Dominican white-sand beach and is not too crowded. The Puerto Blanca Marina is a great place to meet the cruisers and organizes lots of events ranging from Spanish paella dinners to Merengue nights. The main nearby tourist attraction is without a doubt La Isabela National Park, the site of the first settlement in the New World….

In this little video we take a quick pass through the Puerto Blanco marina restaurant and bar just to give you an idea what to expect.  Next we will be headed out to see the ferry dock and some other Luperon area sites.
